The quality standard for meat, ham, shoulder and Iberian loin (Royal Decree 4/2014) establishes the marking and labeling characteristics of these products. On its packaging you will find the Sales Designation, with detailed information about the description of the product, the feeding and handling of the animal and its racial percentage.

– Description: Ham, Shoulder, Loin or Bunched Loin.

– Name of the piece for fresh product.

– Feeding and handling of the animal: Acorn, field bait and bait.

– The racial percentage of the pig: 100% Iberian and Iberian.

The hams and shoulders are sealed in different colors, following the ham categorization standards:

– Black: 100% Iberian Bellota. 100% Iberian pigs, fed with acorns.

– Red: Acorn-fed Iberian. Pigs raised with acorns, which are not pure Iberian breed.

– Green: Iberian Field Bait. Pigs raised in the pasture or field and fed with grass and feed.

– White: Iberian Cebo. Pigs raised in a feedlot and fed only with feed.
